Matthew Ma

Founder

A Sophomore at Conestoga High School, Matthew has studied piano for 10 years, and currently studies under Keiko Sato. He has won 1st place in the Little Mozarts Crescendo Competition and appeared at Carnegie Hall twice, and also won 2nd place twice in the Elite International Music Competition. Recently, he placed 1st in the senior ensemble division at the prestigious Tri-County Youth Music Festival. Matthew is part of his school's concert choir and chorale and also accompanies them. Additionally, he plays the trumpet for the concert band, jazz band, and marching band. Matthew is also actively involved in several churches' music ministries. Aside from music, he competes in DECA and robotics and enjoys biking, running, and rowing.

Ryan Zhang

Founder

Ryan Zhang started studying piano at the age of 5 and has since gone on to receive numerous awards and honors. Currently a junior at Conestoga High School, he studies with Igor Resnianski and Olga Mogilevsky at the Nelly Berman School of Music. He has also studied with world-renowned concert pianist Marianna Prjevalskaya for two years. Ryan's international awards include first place in both the Golden Key Music Festival and King's Peak International Music Competition. In addition, he has won many prestigious local competitions such as first place in the Triumph Music Festival and honorable mention in the Tri-County Youth Festival. Ryan has also been invited to play in Carnegie Hall multiple times. Through the Berwyn Conservatory of Music, he hopes to inspire new musicians and pass his knowledge on to them.

Remington Yang

Teacher

Remington Yang has been playing piano for only 3 and a half years but in that time became very passionate about it. After hours of practice each day and studying at the Wayne Art Center, he has been invited to play at Carnegie Hall and has won awards in competitions such as the Elite International Music Competition. He hopes to inspire more kids to play piano and in general become passionate about music.

Lauren Wu

Teacher

Lauren is a sophomore at Conestoga High School and has been playing violin since age 6. She is a member of Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (PYO) and formerly the concertmaster of Schuylkill Valley Area Orchestra and violinist of the Schoenbach Pre-Advanced Study Piano Trio at Settlement Music School. Lauren won 2nd Place in the Tri-County Youth Festival in 2021, and in 2022 she won the Grand Prix Prize in Music Fest as well as 2nd Place in King’s Peak International Music Competition. With previous experiences in teaching, Lauren hopes to continue to support and encourage young and new musicians.

Audrey Kim

Teacher

Audrey Kim, 14, started playing the violin at the age of four and currently studies with J Freivogel. Audrey joined Temple Music Prep's Center for Gifted Young Musicians and has been playing in its orchestras and small string ensembles for six years. Recently, she was accepted to the Advanced Study Scholarship Ensemble program at the Settlement Music School and studies in the Myer Schwartz Piano Trio coached by Mitchell Newman. Audrey soloed with Temple Prep's Youth Chamber Orchestra and Main Line Symphony Orchestra as a winner of the James Deitz Memorial Young Artist Competition in 2021. In addition to first prize at 2022 the Tri-County Youth Festival in the Junior Strings Division, she also won first prize at the Bucks County Symphony Orchestra Youth Concerto Competition. She was awarded the Jeanne Marvin Phillips Prize and the Marie Paxson Fund Prize presented by the Delaware Valley Music Club as a winner of the BCSO competition. In the 2022 Irving Ludwig Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra Concerto/Aria Competition, Audrey was selected as one of three finalists. Audrey was also awarded a full scholarship from the Luzerne Music Center as a winner of the 2020 Young Artist Scholarship Competition She has participated in several masterclasses with Sibbi Bernhardsson, Robert Chen, Ilya Kaler, Juliette Kang, Paul Kantor, Violaine Melancon, Blair Milton, Marc Rovetti, Philip Setzer, and Steven Tenebom among others. Audrey has also attended summer festivals including the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, Northwestern University Summer Violin Institute, Saint Paul Chamber Music Institute, Luzerne Music Center, and Philadelphia International Music Festival.
